On Friday 8 April 2016, a group consisting of 6 South Koreans, 1 Japanese, 1 Thai and myself went to Ambury Farm (aka Ambury Regional Park), which is a farm in Mangere, Auckland. We left Auckland Institute of Studies at 2.30pm and arrived at Ambury at 2.45pm.

Ambury Regional Park used to be a farm which provided milk and meat for the population of Auckland but as the city grew, the farm could no longer produce sufficient quantity for the population so it became a Regional Park, but is still a working farm, more commonly known as Ambury Farm.
We first visited the angora goats who are extremely friendly. They made a fuss of us for a while before losing interest and wandering off to find some grass to eat.
After this, we found a field which had many young cows. These cows were born in June and July last year so they are still less than 1 year old but they are still quite large. When we walked into the field, the cows, being friendly animals, came towards us which is great for animal lovers but can be disconcerting for those who are less confident around large animals. We had a great time interacting and taking photos with the cows. Some of these (the black and white ones) are fresian cows which give lots of milk, while the others (a brown color) give less milk but very rich milk.
We then went to a field where there were many sheep but these ones were less tame so we wandered off and found another field where there were many different types of sheep; some white sheep of different breeds and some black sheep.
Once again these animals were quite friendly and interacted well with us, even seeming to pose for photos.
We finished our day at Ambury at the picture frame, an ideal place for final photos and returned to Auckland Institute of Studies around 6pm.
