On Thursday 18 February 2016, I went to the Lantern Festival which celebrates the Chinese New Year and it was held in the Auckland Domain. Auckland is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world, and as such it hosts a wide range of festivals. A few of the highlights are the Lantern Festival in February, Pasifika in March, the International Cultural Festival in March / April and Diwali in October / November, but there are many, many more.
