On 28 May 2016, I collected 6 people from their apartment in the city and went to Auckland Institute of Studies, making a group of 10 (8 Koreans, 1 Colombian and myself). We had a short class on rugby rules and caught the train to Eden Park for the Blues vs Crusaders rugby match. The Blues are the local team (Auckland and north of Auckland region), while the Crusaders are from Christchurch and the surrounding area in New Zealand.

Eden Park Rugby: Blues vs Crusaders
I have 10 VIP Blues supporter tickets. These tickets are all $25 each and are excellent seats – close to the action. Tickets also include train or bus fare to and from Eden Park.
When we arrived, there were some non-playing Blues players giving out Blues flags to supporters. We collected our flags and then had our faces painted in Blues colours.
The game kicked off at 7.35pm and it was a lively and close affair, with the lead changing for most of the first half, but the Blues inched ahead and had a narrow lead at halftime. However, they were unable to hold the lead and narrowly lost 26 – 21, with goal-kicking the difference as both teams scored 2 tries.
After the game, some players from the Blues and a couple of Crusaders players came to the side of the field to allow fans to get selfies with them. Some of the players are All Blacks players as well as playing for the Blues. (The next day 9 Crusaders and 4 Blues players were named in the All Blacks squad for 2016)
We caught the train back to AIS, returning at about 10.15pm, and I then dropped off the 6 from the inner city to their apartment.
